The ministry of evangelization carried out by Christian parents is original and irreplaceable. - John Paul II in Familiaris Consortio

Parents, we welcome your involvement in our parish's youth ministry program! Young Church will thrive best when the entire parish, and especially parents, plays a part in forming our youth.

The very best way you can be involved in Young Church is simply by continuing to support and feed your son or daughter's personal relationship with Jesus. Thank you for your openness and contributions to the work of God in their lives!

If interested, please also consider becoming involved in the process of building up the youth of Holy Cross in one of these ways:

  1. Chaperones: We'd love to put together a pool of parents/adults we could contact when we need more adult chaperones and drivers for certain events.
  2. Discipleship Groups: A big part of our ministry will be done in small group discipleship happening outside of the parish and in the homes of our parishioners. If you're interested in being involved in the discipling of teens by facilitating/mentoring a group or offering to host a group in your home, please let us know!
  3. Intercessory Team: intercessory prayer, especially to the Blessed Mother, is the wind in the sails of any ministry effort. We need people praying for the efficacy of the efforts Young Church in our teens lives.
  4. Financial Support: the work of youth ministry requires considerable resources of time, talent, and, of course, treasure. Please consider supporting the work of Young Church by donating to our program.

If any of these options have sparked your interest, please email Tim Glemkowski, Holy Cross' Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, at tglemkowski@holycross-batavia.org or call 630-879-4750 ext. 111 to discuss your involvement in our program! Any and all involvement in our youth ministry program will be preceded by safe environment training.
